Cornwall’s largest outdoor skate park is reopening on Sunday 24 July with a slick new look and we want you to be a part of it.

Come down to try out the improved ramps, compete for awesome prizes and find out more about the park and the new partnership* behind it.

There’ll be demos from DC, Commit, Ideal BMX, Flavour and Faltown sponsored riders, plus skaters Adam Moss, Ross Mace and Harry Bray will be on hand for 1-on-1 and group taster coaching sessions, as well as giving the lowdown on their Wooden Waves summer skate lessons.

Take photos or video of the launch and upload to our facebook page and you could win yourself some brand new kit courtesy of Faltown Skate, Flavour, and Ideal BMX.

Highlights include:

10am Scooter Competition (competitors arrive at 9.30am to enroll)

12pm Ideal BMX and Commit Sponsored Riders Demo

12.30pm BMX Competition (competitors arrive at 11.30am to enroll)

3pm Skate Demo from DC, Faltown and Flavour Sponsored Riders

3.30pm Skate Competition ((competitors arrive at 2.30pm to enroll)

*The newly re-opened Wooden Waves is a pilot initiative by Newquay Town Council in partnership with XtraVert social enterprise (part of the Real Ideas Organisation) to find a sustainable, effective way of running the skatepark.
